Carlo Maria Mariani (* 1931 in Rome ) is an Italian painter .
life and work
Carlo Maria Mariani graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma in 1955 and is one of the representatives of the Italian transavant-garde . He lives and works in New York . In 1998 he received the Antonio Feltrinelli Prize .
Well-known works are Constellation of the Lion (1981) and Prophetic Allegory (1982).
