Carlos Alberto Juárez (born April 24, 1972 in Buenos Aires ) is a former Argentine-Ecuadorian football player . The striker was an Ecuadorian international .

He started his career in Argentina with CA Lanús . In 1994 he played in Uruguay with the Montevideo Wanderers and then returned to Lanús. After an interlude at Santos Laguna in Mexico, he went to Ecuador in 1996 for CS Emelec . Interrupted by a guest appearance in 2000 at Sporting Cristal in Peru, he was with Emelec until 2003. In 2001 he was the top scorer in Serie A with 17 goals and won the Ecuadorian championship with Emelec as well as in 2002. The club also reached the Copa Merconorte final in 2001 . In 2003 he went to Nacional Montevideo in Uruguay. In 2004 he played for Real Murcia in the Spanish Primera División , but after six months he went back to Ecuador to join LDU Quito . There he was tested positive in the doping control after a game of the Copa Sudamericana and banned for four months. After his suspension, he played for Deportivo Quito . In 2005 he went again to Nacional Montevideo, with whom he was Uruguayan champion in 2005/06. At the end of his career, he returned to Emelec in 2007/08.

Juárez took on Ecuadorian citizenship in 1999 and was nominated five times for the Ecuadorian national team in 2000.
