Carlos Eloir Peruci Rivero , according to other spelling and Perucci Riveiro (* 20th May 1951 ), is a former Brazilian football player at the position of a striker , who during his professional career almost exclusively in Mexico was active and the most successful goalscorers of the Mexican Primera División counts .

Life

Peruci began his sporting career in the youth department of Athletico Paranaense and came to Mexico before the 1972/73 season , where he was under contract with CF Laguna for the next five years . He then moved to the Toros del Atlético Español , where he - with the exception of a brief interruption in the spring of 1980, when he worked for the Houston Hurricanes , which soon dissolved - was under contract for the following four years. In 1981 he left the "Spaniards" and signed on with city rivals Cruz Azul , for whom he played three more seasons before ending his active career in the spring of 1984.

With 197 goals scored during his twelve years in Mexico (including the Liguillas ), Peruci is eighth in the overall table of top scorer in the Mexican league . The fact that he never won the title of top scorer is mainly due to the fact that he played "Cabinho" in the Mexican league almost simultaneously with his compatriot Evanivaldo Castro , who played between 1975/76 and 1984 / 85 won the top scorer's crown eight times.
