Carlos Matamoros Franco
Carlos Matamoros Franco (born December 17, 1966 ) is an Ecuadorian chess player .
He played for Ecuador at twelve Chess Olympiads : 1986 , 1994 and 2000 to 2018 . He also took part in the Pan American Team Championship (2003) in Rio de Janeiro .
At the 2005 World Chess Cup he failed in the first round to Viktor Bologan .
In Spain he played for the teams RC Labradores Sevilla ( 2001 ) and RC Labradores-Pub Magia Sevilla ( 2003 ).
In 1987 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). The title of Grand Master (GM) was awarded to him in 2002. Since 2016 he has held the title of FIDE trainer.
