Carlos Meza (* 24. December 1977 in Caucasia , Colombia , † 8. December 2004 in Panama City , Panama ) was Colombian professional boxer in the bantamweight .
In the course of his professional career, he won 21 of his 25 fights. On December 7, 2004 he suffered a knockout defeat in a boxing match against Ricardo Córdoba from Panama. He was pronounced clinically dead shortly after the fight. According to the doctors at the Santo Tomas Hospital in Panama City, Meza fell into a coma from which the 26-year-old never woke up after an emergency operation because of cerebral hemorrhage .
