Carlos Ortega (poet)

Carlos Ortega Bayón (* 1957 in Valladolid , Spain ) is a Spanish poet , literary critic, essayist and translator.

Life

Ortega is a university graduate in German and French philology . From 1994 he was director of the National Library in Madrid and from 2001 to 2005 director of Editorial Losada in Madrid. He was director of the Instituto Cervantes in Bremen and then became director of the Instituto Cervantes Vienna.
