The Carlota Cove ( Spanish Bahía Carlota ) is a bay on the west coast of Robert Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies between the Coppermine Peninsula and Misnomer Point .
The name of the bay is first found on a Chilean map from 1961. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated the Spanish name into English on November 3, 1974. The further naming background has not been passed down.
