Carmélia Alves Curvello (born February 14, 1923 in Bangor , Rio de Janeiro , † November 3, 2012 in Jacarepaguá , Rio de Janeiro) was a Brazilian singer. She was referred to as the "Rainha do Baião", the queen of the Baião .

Carmélia Alves was born in Bangor, a district in the west of Rio de Janeiro. She died at the age of 89 on December 3, 2012, of multiple organ failure in the hospital in Jacarepaguá, a district in western Rio de Janeiro.

Her brother is the singer Noel Alves .
