Carman (singer)

Carman (actually: Carmelo Dominic Licciardello ; born January 19, 1956 in Trenton , New Jersey ) is an American Christian pop singer.

Carman was born on January 19, 1956 in Trenton, New Jersey, to Italian immigrants. In 1980 he recorded his first album God's Not Finished With Me . Since then he has recorded more than 30 albums and several videos, won several awards such as the House of Hope Humanitarian Award in 2004 and has been invited to many television shows. He also starred in his 2001 film The Champion . Many of his albums and videos have reached gold (500,000 copies sold) and some even went platinum (over a million copies sold) in the United States.

Most of the old albums from "Carman" up to and including "Addicted To Jesus" were re-released between 1992 and 1993 on the Sparrow Records label . Only the re-release of "A Long Time Ago ... In a Land Called Bethlehem" came out in 1995 under the new name "Christmas with Carman" and with a different order of the songs. The first album available on CD, "Carman", was re-released in 1992 under the name "Some-O-Dat". Carman's debut album "God's Not Finished With Me" has only been released on record so far . Some songs from this album were re-recorded for the following albums, some with different titles.
