Carmel Conway (* 20th century in Limerick ) is an Irish singer.

Her debut album This Beautiful Day was released in Ireland in October 2008. She recently completed a series of appearances in Los Angelas, Monterey, New York, Boston and Connecticut in addition to guest appearances with artists such as The Chieftains , Nanci Griffith and Paul Brady in the United States and Ireland.

Life

Carmel Conway had private singing lessons since childhood. During this young age she won many Irish voting competitions. She has sung in places like Walt Disney Hall Los Angeles, Kimmel Center Philadelphia, National Concert Hall in Dublin, Waterfront Hall in Belfast and University Concert Hall Limerick.

With a change of musical focus towards the end of 2006, Carmel began preparations for her debut album, which was recorded with the Irish Film Orchestra from December 2007 to February 2008. The album was produced by arranger and producer Fiachra Trench with Elvis Costello , Van Morrison , The Corrs and features a selection of songs that range from pop ballads to original contemporary material.
