Carmine Coppola (born January 10, 1979 in Pollena Trocchia , Province of Naples ) is a former Italian football player who acted as a central midfielder .
Career
In the club
Carmine Coppola's career began with Vicenza Calcio . In 1998 he moved to the professional field at AS Cittadella , where he became a regular player straight away in the first season (1998/99). In the summer of 1999 he went to Triestina for six months , after which he returned to his first professional club, Cittadella, as he had only a few appearances in Trieste. But he only stayed at AS Cittadella for six months and joined AlbinoLeffe in the summer of 2000 . But there Coppola didn't seem to like it at all, so that after a few weeks he changed clubs again and ended up back at Triestina. In the summer of 2001 Coppola moved again, this time to FC Messina , where he has been under contract for six years and has played over 100 games for this team.
In January 2007, Coppola was loaned to this club for half a year in exchange with Andrea Giallombardo from AS Livorno . He then played for Frosinone Calcio , Salernitana Calcio and AC Arezzo . Coppola signed with Taranto Sport in January 2010 . After only six months, he left the club and signed a contract with third division club SPAL Ferrara .
In the national team
Carmine Coppola has made two appearances in the Italian national soccer team . In the summer of 2005, he played two international matches with Italy against Serbia and Montenegro and against Ecuador , both of which ended 1-1.
