Carol Cymbala

Carol Cymbala is an American choir director and composer.

When her husband Jim Cymbala took over the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church in the early 1980s , Carol Cymbala began building a choir with nine people. Since she could not find enough suitable literature, although she could not read notes, she began to write songs. Today the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has 275 singers who perform four masses every Sunday. Carol Cymbala has won six Grammy Awards with her choir so far.

Carol Cymbala has three children and five grandchildren and lives in New York City .
