Carole Quinton

Carole Quinton (born July 11, 1936 ) is a former British athlete who won an Olympic silver medal in 1960.

In 1958 she won the British 80-meter hurdles championships . At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff in 1958 , she won the silver medal between the Australians Norma Thrower (gold) and Gloria Wigney (bronze).

At the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome , she won the silver medal in the 80-meter hurdles behind Irina Press ( USSR ) and ahead of the German Gisela Birkemeyer (bronze).
