Carolina Demartini Albuquerque ( "Carol" , born July 25, 1977 in Porto Alegre ) is a Brazilian volleyball player .
Carol won the gold medal with the Brazilian national team at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . She also won the Pan American Games in 1999 and was runner-up in 2006 . There are also three victories at the Volleyball World Grand Prix .
The setter was active at various Brazilian clubs and won the national championship and the cup twice with Osasco Voleibol Clube . In 2012 she also played in Spain with Vóley Murcia .
