Carolina Cyclone in Carowinds ( Charlotte , North Carolina , USA ) is a steel roller coaster of the Custom Looping Coaster model manufactured by Arrow Dynamics , which opened in March 1980. It was the first roller coaster with four inversions .

At Carolina Cyclone 103  tons of steel were used.

The track was originally painted light red, but was repainted blue-green in the late 1980s. She has been driving in her now familiar dark blue since 2001.

layout

After the train has left the station, it first turns left before pulling up the lift hill. Once at the top, there is a predrop , then a left turn before the train descends the First Drop. The two loops follow. After the second loop has been completed, a right-hand bend follows, which ends in the double corkscrew . A helix close to the ground is the last driving element before the final brake.

Trains

Carolina Cyclone owns two trains with seven cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car. The passengers must be at least 1.22 m tall to be allowed to ride.
