Caroline Thomas (born June 24, 1990 in Weert , Netherlands ) is a German handball player .

Career

She started playing handball at the age of six on the initiative of her primary school teacher and later trainer. Thomas, who grew up in Daun , went through the youth teams of her home club TuS Daun . In 2005 she became champions of the south-west German C-youth team with the Dauners.

The 1.72 m tall student moved to Bundesliga club DJK / MJC Trier in 2006 , where she was initially used in the second team and then moved up to the first team towards the end of the 2006/07 season. While she was still playing in the back room in Daun, she acted in the position of circular runner for the Trier “chicks” . In summer 2010 she moved to HSG Blomberg-Lippe . In summer 2013 she joined the Vulkan-Ladies Koblenz / Weibern . In the 2014/15 season she was the captain of the Bundesliga team. In summer 2015 she returned to the DJK / MJC Trier. A year later she moved to the second division HSG Bensheim / Auerbach . She was promoted to the Bundesliga with HSG Bensheim / Auerbach in 2017. In January 2019 she left Bensheim.

Caroline Thomas has completed three international youth matches and took part in the qualifying tournament for the U17 European Championship in March 2007.
