The first women's team plays its home games in the sports hall on Ulmenallee in Blomberg.
Club management
For years, the team's manager was Harald Wallbaum, who was responsible for women's handball for three decades. However, Wallbaum announced his departure from the HSG Board in 2012. Torben Kietsch then managed the Bundesliga team until the end of the 2015/16 season. In the 2016/17 season, Torsten Pfennig held the position of managing director. At the end of the 2016/17 season, the HSG and Torsten Pfennig parted ways. A dual leadership was installed for the 2017/18 season. Stefanie Klaunig (previously head of the office) and the returned Torben Kietsch share the management tasks. Trainer Steffen Birkner is also the sporting director of the youth performance area.
Total club
The first men's team currently plays in the district league. Furthermore, the HSG runs a youth boarding school for female B-youths in cooperation with the Hermann-Vöchting-Gymnasium Blomberg. (As of 2017)
