Alicia Stolle (born June 17, 1996 in Ahlen ) is a German handball player who belongs to the squad of the Hungarian club Ferencváros Budapest .

Career

Club career

Alicia Stolle began playing handball in her hometown at Ahlener SG , with which she won the West German championship in the C-youth. In 2011 she joined Borussia Dortmund . In 2014, the backcourt player moved to HSG Blomberg-Lippe . With the A-youth of HSG Blomberg-Lippe, she became German runner-up in 2015. In the final of the German A youth championship, they and their team had to admit defeat to the Bayer 04 Leverkusen team.

In the 2014/15 season she not only played for the A-youth team, but also for the women's team and took part in the Bundesliga and the 2014/15 European Cup Winners' Cup with HSG Blomberg-Lippe . There Alicia Stolle's team failed in the quarterfinals due to FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria . They took seventh place in the Bundesliga. Alicia Stolle stayed three more seasons with the HSG and took a top ten place with the team in the Bundesliga.

For the 2017/18 season , Alicia Stolle moved from HSG Blomberg-Lippe to Thuringian HC . In her first season at the new club, Alicia Stolle won the DHB Cup. In addition, she and her team only missed the German championship because of the worse goal difference.

For the 2020/21 season Alicia Stolle left the Thuringian HC and joined the Hungarian first division club Ferencváros Budapest together with Emily Bölk .

National team career

Alicia Stolle took part in the U-17 World Cup in Poland in 2013 for the DHB and reached tenth place with her team. Two years later she took part again with Germany in a U-17 European Championship . At the U-17 European Championship in 2015 in Macedonia , however, she was only used in the opening game against Russia and was then replaced by Lisa Friedberger due to back problems . The German team achieved ninth place at this European Championship by beating Spain in the game for 9th place.

From July 2nd to 15th, 2016, she took part in the 2016 U-20 World Championship for the DHB, where she and her team took fourth place. On October 7, 2016 debuted for the German national handball team . Alicia Stolle scored three goals in the 32:18 win against Spain in Hamburg . She was nominated by Michael Biegler for the 2016 European Championships in Sweden and achieved sixth place with the German national team.

By Michael Biegler it was also for the home World Cup in 2017 nominated. In which the German national team was eliminated in the round of 16 against Denmark . Alicia Stolle was nominated by Biegler's successor, Henk Groener , for both the 2018 European Championship in France and the 2019 World Championship in Japan .
