Qualification for Handball world championship

The U-17 European Handball Championship for women is the competition for the best national teams for female handball players under the age of 17 and has been played since 1992. They take place every two years. After a qualification the best 16 teams of the European Handball Federation (EHF) meet. In addition to determining the best European team, the tournament also serves as a qualification for the U-18 women's handball world championship .

The current defending champion is Hungary .
