The finals of the 9th U-19 European Handball Championship for women took place in Denmark from August 1 to 11, 2013 . The host was also the defending champion. The organizer was the European Handball Federation (EHF). Russia won the U-19 European Women's Handball Championship for the third time.

Venues

The venues for the games were Kolding and Sønderborg .

qualification

28 teams took part in the tournament. Denmark was automatically qualified to host the tournament. Russia and Norway qualified via the 2011 U-17 European Handball Championship for women .

The remaining 13 places were played out through qualification:

The draw for the preliminary group took place on June 2, 2013. The 16 qualified teams were divided into four groups of four teams each. The results of the U-17 European Championship 2011 and the results of the qualification were taken into account.
