Lea Kim Land ( born Lea Kim Wahle on June 22, 1994 in Hamburg ) is a German handball player .

Career

Kim Land grew up in Vierhöfen . She played from the D-youth to the B-youth at MTV Eyendorf. At the age of 16, the backcourt player moved to HSG Blomberg-Lippe . With the A-youth she was German runner-up in 2012 and 2013. From 2013 she was a member of the Bundesliga team at HSG Blomberg-Lippe. In the DHB Cup 2013/14 she lost in the final against HC Leipzig . Land scored one goal in the final. In the following season, Land took part in the European Cup Winners' Cup with Blomberg . During the tournament she scored a total of four goals. For the 2015/16 season she switched to league competitor SVG Celle . In the 2016/17 season she scored 100 field goals for SVG Celle. Land then joined the second division club HL Buchholz 08-Rosengarten . At the end of January 2020, Kim Land announced that she would end her career at the end of the 2019/20 season and stated that she wanted to concentrate on her profession as a veterinarian in the future. Land then announced that she would play for the second team of HL Buchholz 08-Rosengarten in the major league.

Land ran for the German youth and junior national team. With these teams she took part in the 2011 U-17 European Championship , the 2013 U-19 European Championship and the 2014 U-20 World Championship .
