Anne Mette Hansen (born August 25, 1994 in Glostrup ) is a Danish handball player who belongs to the squad of the Danish national team.
Career
Hansen started playing handball at the Danish club Fløng / Hedehusene Håndbold (short: FHH90). From 2010, the back court player attended a sports school in Copenhagen and joined the Ajax København club . With the women's team from Ajax, she ran in the second highest Danish division. From the 2014/15 season she was under contract with the first division club København Håndbold . In the summer of 2017 she moved to the Hungarian first division club Győri ETO KC . With Győr she won the Hungarian Championship in 2018 and 2019, the Hungarian Cup in 2018 and 2019 and the EHF Champions League in 2018 and 2019 .
Hansen made her debut for the Danish U17 national team in 2011. In the same year she won the silver medal at the U17 European Championship. A year later, Hansen won the gold medal at the U18 World Cup. In the final against Russia she scored the most goals for the Danish selection. Next, Hansen took part in the 2013 U-19 European Championship , where she won the bronze medal. In addition, she was elected to the all-star team of the EM.
Hansen made her senior national team debut on October 27, 2013. Shortly afterwards, the Dane took part in the World Cup in Serbia and won the bronze medal. In the third round match against Algeria, she was the most dangerous player in the Danish jersey with eight goals. Throughout the tournament, she scored 15 goals in nine games.
