Jennifer Rode (born August 3, 1995 in Berlin ) is a German handball player .

Career

Rode began playing handball at MTV 1860 Altlandsberg at the age of five . From 2008 she attended the sports boarding school in Frankfurt (Oder) . Four years later she was a member of the Bundesliga squad of the Frankfurt Handball Club . After the FHC filed for bankruptcy in 2013, the left-hander joined the Bundesliga club HSG Bensheim / Auerbach . A season later, Rode signed a contract with Bayer Leverkusen . From the 2020/21 season, Rode is under contract with Borussia Dortmund .

Rode made her international debut for the German national team on November 27, 2015 in Umag against Slovakia .
