Hildigunnur Einarsdóttir (born February 11, 1988 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic handball player who is under contract with the German first division club Bayer 04 Leverkusen .

Career

Hildigunnur Einarsdóttir initially played for the Icelandic first division club Valur Reykjavík . With Valur she won the Icelandic championship in 2010, 2011 and 2012. In the summer of 2012, the cyclist moved to the Norwegian first division club Tertnes IL . After Hildigunnur Einarsdóttir moved to the Swedish club BK Heid in February 2015 , she joined the German second division Vulkan-Ladies Koblenz / Weibern in summer 2015 . In the 2016/17 season she played for Bundesliga club HC Leipzig . She then moved to the Austrian association Hypo Niederösterreich . With Hypo Niederösterreich she won the Austrian championship in 2018. In the 2018/19 season she played for Borussia Dortmund . She then moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Hildigunnur Einarsdóttir has played 74 caps for Iceland so far , scoring 78 goals.
