Živilė Jurgutytė (born February 22, 1987 in Tauragė ) is a Lithuanian handball player who plays for the German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen .

Career

Živilė Jurgutytė initially played for the Lithuanian club Eglė Vilnius , with whom she won the Lithuanian championship six times and the Lithuanian Cup five times. For the 2010/11 season she joined the French first division club Union Mios Biganos-Bègles . In 2011 the backcourt player won the EHF Challenge Cup . In summer 2014 she moved to the German Bundesliga club SG BBM Bietigheim . Her cruciate ligament tore before the start of the 2014/15 season , which is why Jurgutytė had to pause the entire season. When Jurgutytė received only a few games in the following season, she moved to the relegation-threatened second division club DJK / MJC Trier in February 2016 . For the 2016/17 season she moved to Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen .

Jurgutytė made 107 appearances for the Lithuanian national team .
