Nele Franz (born October 21, 1999 in Bielefeld ) is a German handball player who belongs to the squad of the Bundesliga club HSG Blomberg-Lippe .

Career

Nele Franz started playing handball at TSG Altenhagen-Heepen in 2005 . In 2013 she joined the youth department at HSG Blomberg-Lippe . She won the German championship in 2016 with the B-youth of HSG Blomberg-Lippe and was German runner-up in 2014. With the A-youth she took 2nd place in 2015 and 3rd place in the German championship in 2017 and 2018. In 2017 she was also the top scorer of the tournament with 23 goals. Franz was first used in the Bundesliga on November 19, 2016. She has been a permanent member of the Bundesliga team since the 2018/19 season.

Nele Franz took part with the German national youth team at the European Summer Olympic Youth Festival 2015 , the U-18 World Cup in 2016 and the U-20 World Cup in 2018.
