Emelyn van Wingerden (born May 20, 2001 in Berlin ) is a German handball player at HSG Blomberg-Lippe .

Life

Emelyn van Wingerden started playing handball at KSV Ajax Köpenik in Berlin at the age of six. After completing elementary school, she moved to Frankfurt (Oder) in 2013 and lived there in the boarding school of the sports school . During this time she played at Frankfurt HC , won the Cup in the C-Youth with the club, in 2017 North-East-German Champion in the B-Youth and was finally with the A-Youth in the Ostsee-Spree-Liga and in the Youth Bundesliga represented.

In May 2017 van Wingerden moved to Blomberg and attended the Hermann-Vöchting-Gymnasium there with the aim of a subsequent degree. She took part in the preparation for the 2019/20 Bundesliga season. At the home game of the HSG on September 15, 2019, she had her first first division appearance. She also plays in the female youth division .
