Tessa van Zijl (born April 5, 1996 in 's-Gravenhage ) is a Dutch handball player who is under contract with the German first division club HSG Blomberg-Lippe .

Life

Tessa van Zijl was trained at the Dutch HandbalAcademie from 2013 to 2017. She played for Verburch until 2014 and then moved to the Dutch first division handbalvereniging Quintus for three years . In April 2017, the HSG was able to sign Blomberg-Lippe van Zijl for an initial two years. In December 2018, her contract was prematurely extended for a further three seasons until 2022. For the 2020/21 season she will move to Borussia Dortmund .

Tessa van Zijl was part of the Dutch U18 team in Macedonia in 2014 and part of the U20 team in Russia in 2016.
