Women's handball Bundesliga 2018/19

The handball Bundesliga 2019/20 was the 35th of the single-track seasons and the 44th season of the highest German division in women's handball in the history of the Bundesliga . The season began on September 5, 2019 and ended prematurely on March 18, 2020 due to the corona virus pandemic.

14 teams played in the " everyone against everyone " mode with one home and one away game for the German championship . Due to the corona virus pandemic, the association decided to cancel the 2019/20 season. There will be no relegated athletes. The HBF later decided that, unlike the men, the championship title would not be awarded. The leader of the break table qualified for the next EHF Champions League season and the teams in places 2 and 3 for the upcoming European Handball League. The first two places in the 2nd Bundesliga will be promoted and the 1st division will be topped up next season.

In addition, the DHB Cup was played for the 46th time .
