Top Of Tyrol is the name of a viewing platform on the Großer Isidor mountain in the Stubai Alps , in Tyrol , Austria and is located in the middle of the Stubai Glacier ski area . The platform is at an altitude of 3210 m and, with good visibility, allows a view of 109 three-thousand-meter peaks. From the platform you can u. a. See parts of the mountain ranges of the Italian Dolomites , the Ötztal Alps and the Stubai Alps. The platform can be reached directly by cable car; From the exit of the Schaufeljoch cable car, stairs lead directly up to the platform. While the platform is primarily intended for transitional and summer tourism, it is also made accessible in high winter, depending on the weather conditions.

After a two-year planning and construction phase, the viewing platform was completed in September 2009. It was designed by the LAAC architecture office in Innsbruck on behalf of Wintersport Tirol AG. The entire assembly of the platform was done by helicopter. The steel structure protrudes 9 m above the rock in places.

The magazine GEO mentioned Top of Tyrol in an article among 10 architecturally special viewing platforms worldwide.

Location

In June 2019, the summit platform became the filming location for one of the songs from the Indian cinema production Saaho.
