The handball Bundesliga 2015/16 was the 31st of the single-track seasons and the 41st season of the highest German division in women's handball in the history of the Bundesliga . The season began on September 12, 2015 and ended with the last game day on May 14, 2016. The defending champion from the previous year, Thuringian HC , became the German champions .
14 teams played in the " everyone against everyone " mode with one home and one away game for the German championship . The first in the table on the last matchday was German champions 2016. This season's promoters were SGH Rosengarten-Buchholz and BVB Dortmund Handball . In addition, the DHB Cup will be played for the 42nd time.
