The women's handball department of the Berlin sports club Füchse Berlin Reinickendorf is (like the men's department ) outsourced to a GmbH. After the formation of a syndicate with SV Berliner VG 49 in 2009, the name has changed several times; The syndicate ended in mid-2012, but the license remained with Füchsen Berlin. The team has been playing in the 2nd handball league since the 2012/13 season , where they secured promotion to the 1st division early on May 1, 2014 with a 31:24 win over TV Nellingen three game days before the end of the season . On March 31, 2016, the club announced that no license had been applied for for the 2016/17 Bundesliga season. The women's team competed in the third division in the 2016/17 season . In 2017, the team rose to the 2nd Bundesliga without losing points.
