The TSV Nord Harrislee is a German sports club in the Schleswig-Holstein municipality Harrislee , north of Flensburg . The club is known for its handball department , which was represented in the Bundesliga for three seasons . The club founded on March 8, 1950 emerged from the two clubs Kupfermühler Sportclub from 1946 and the Harrisleer Sportverein .

In football the TSV had his best time in the 1990s. In 1995 he won the title of Schleswig-Holstein national champion and rose to the joint league with Hamburg at the time. From that division (at the time 4th division) the team had to relegate three years later. Furthermore, TSV took part in the DFB Cup in the 1978/79 season . In the first round of the cup Harrislee was eliminated 6-0 against Borussia Neunkirchen . In 2017/18 she belongs to the Verbandsliga Nord (7th division).

Handball department

The women's team rose in 1976 to the Schleswig-Holstein Oberliga (then the third-highest division) and has never been lower than the third division since then. After advancing to the second-rate regional league in 1979, the team qualified as regional champions in 1985 for the newly created 2nd handball league , in whose northern season the team initially played for three seasons. After relegation to the regional league in the meantime, Harrislee returned to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1990 and made it through to the 1st Bundesliga. In the 1991/92 season , Harrislee only finished ninth in the northern relay of the two-track Bundesliga and thus missed the relegation games by one place.

In 1994 TSV Nord Harrislee rose again to the Bundesliga. After the club relegated two years later, the team belonged to the 2nd Bundesliga for seven years. After three seasons in the Regionalliga, Harrislee returned to the Second Division in 2006. In 2011, when he finished seventh in the table, he qualified for the single-track 2. Bundesliga, where the club always occupied single-digit positions in the midfield for the next three years. For the 2014/15 season, the club waived the license for the 2nd Bundesliga and instead started in the 3rd division. After Harrislee won the championship of the northern season of the 3rd division in the 2017/18 season, the team returned to the 2nd Bundesliga.
