Angie Birgit Geschke (born May 24, 1985 in Lübeck ) is a German handball player .

Career

She started playing handball in the Mini-Mix Jugend of TuS Lübeck 93 and played for SC Buntekuh Lübeck from the D-Jugend . In 2000, the 1.77 m tall backcourt player moved to Frankfurt HC , with whom she won the DHB Cup in 2003 and the German championship a year later . In the 2006/07 season she was the top scorer in the Bundesliga with 210 goals.

In the 2007/08 season she was under contract with the Danish club Randers HK . In summer 2008 she returned to the German Bundesliga, where she played for VfL Oldenburg until summer 2012 . She then signed a contract with the Norwegian first division club Vipers Kristiansand. In summer 2013 she moved to Bayer Leverkusen . In September 2013 she moved to VfL Oldenburg for private reasons. In the 2015/16 season she was the top scorer in the Bundesliga with 237 goals. After the 2018/19 season, she left Oldenburg.

She made her international debut in the German national team on April 7, 2006 against Croatia. So far, she has scored 210 goals in 110 international matches. With Germany, she took part in the 2013 World Cup and scored 15 goals in seven games.
