The 2014/15 season the second handball league for women was the 30th in their history. 14 teams played for promotion to the top German division. The first two clubs in the final table rose directly to the 1st handball league . The last two clubs had to go to the 3rd division . HSG Bensheim / Auerbach was relegated from the last season of the 1st handball Bundesliga . Newcomers from the 3rd division were TV Beyeröhde , TSV Haunstetten , SG H2Ku Herrenberg and TSV Travemünde .

mode

The mode was everyone against everyone with a home and away game. The leader of the table and the second-placed team were promoted directly to the 1st Bundesliga at the end of the season . Due to the reduction in the 3rd division , only the last two teams were relegated directly. In the event of a tie, the better goal difference decided.
