The handball Bundesliga 2014/15 (full name after the main sponsor DKB Handball-Bundesliga 2014/15 ) was the 37th of the single-track seasons and the 49th season of the highest German division in men's handball in the history of the Bundesliga . The season started on August 23, 2014 and ended with the last game day on June 5, 2015.

19 teams played in the " everyone against everyone " mode with one home and one away game for the German championship . The first in the table on the last day of the match was German Champion 2015. This was the 20th time in the club's history for the THW Kiel team . The newcomers to the new season were TSG Friesenheim , HC Erlangen and SG BBM Bietigheim . In addition, the DHB Cup was played for the 41st time. The SG Flensburg-Handewitt team secured the DHB Cup . The GWD Minden , TSG Friesenheim , HC Erlangen and SG BBM Bietigheim had to relegate from the Bundesliga to the 2nd Bundesliga .

In 342 games, a total of 18,838 goals (average 55.1 per game) were scored, around 1.5 fewer goals than in the 2013/14 season . There were 203 home wins, 33 draws and 106 away wins. TBV Lemgo recorded their highest home win on matchday 35 with 45:26 against HSV Hamburg . The highest away win was achieved by the TuS N-Lübbecke team on matchday 10 with 25:40 at TSG Friesenheim . mode

This season, 19 instead of 18 teams played in the " everyone against everyone " mode with one home and one away game for the German championship after HSV Hamburg was initially refused the Bundesliga license and was ultimately granted in arbitration proceedings. The first in the table on the last match day was German Champion 2015. According to the EHF ranking, the two first-placed teams of the season qualified directly for the EHF Champions League 2015/16 . The third to fifth placed qualified directly for the EHF Europa Pokal 2015/16 . The teams in places 16 to 19 (GWD Minden, TSG Friesenheim, HC Erlangen and SG BBM Bietigheim) were relegated to the 2nd handball Bundesliga 2015/16 .
