The Handball Bundesliga 2012/13 (full name after the main sponsor DKB Handball Bundesliga 2012/13 ) was the 35th of the single-track seasons and the 47th season of the highest German division in men's handball in the history of the Bundesliga . The season began on August 24, 2012 and ended with the last game day on June 8, 2013.

18 teams played for the German championship. The first in the table on the last day of the match is German Champion 2013. The newcomers to the new season were GWD Minden , TUSEM Essen , TV 1893 Neuhausen . In addition, the DHB Cup was played for the 39th time.

For the 18th time in the club's history, the German championship was the THW Kiel team .

The TV Großwallstadt , the TV 1893 Neuhausen and the TUSEM Essen had to relegate from the Bundesliga to the 2nd Bundesliga .
