Venues of the 2nd handball Bundesliga

mode

20 teams played in the " everyone against everyone " mode with one home and one away game. The three first placed rose to the handball Bundesliga 2013/14 . In the event of a tie, the better goal difference decided.

The SV Post Schwerin announced on 20 September 2012 bankruptcy and was made the first relegated. The team was finally withdrawn from the game on October 22nd and all games played up to that point were taken out of the rating. Since only three third division teams had submitted a license application for the following season by the deadline on April 30, 2013, the number of relegation places was reduced to two.
