Handball Bundesliga 2014/15

The 2nd handball Bundesliga 2014/15 is the fourth of the single-track seasons and the 34th season of the second highest German division in men's handball in the history of the 2nd Bundesliga . 20 teams play for promotion to the top German league. The season started on August 23, 2014 and ended on June 6, 2015.

The most goal-scoring game of the season took place between TV Emsdetten and TSV Bayer Dormagen and ended after 80 goals with 43 to 37. The highest home win was the game TV Bittenfeld against GSV Eintracht Baunatal and ended with 20 goals difference 37:17. And the highest away win was the game GSV Eintracht Baunatal against ASV Hamm-Westfalen and also ended with a 20 goal difference 23:43.

The game between TSV Bayer Dormagen and TV Großwallstadt on the last day of the match was the only game that had to be decided by a table ranking.

The champions and first promoted to the handball Bundesliga 2015/16 in the 2nd division is SC DHfK Leipzig . The other climbers are ThSV Eisenach and TV Bittenfeld .

The GSV Eintracht Baunatal , of Eintracht Hildesheim and TV 05/07 Hüttenberg could not make it in the league. The TV Großwallstadt will put the fourth relegated in the 3rd division in 2015/16 because he was denied his license for the next season. The TVG did not appeal against this.

(a)HSC 2000 Coburg appealed against the game standings because in the last minute of the game a throw by Coburg at the Baunataler's empty goal was illegally intercepted by a field player who was not designated as a goalkeeper in the goal area. The objection was granted on April 21, 2015 before the sports court of the DHB in Frankfurt. The game will be repeated on May 8, 2015 at 8:00 p.m.
