Bjarki Már Elísson (born May 16, 1990 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic handball player . In the 2019/20 season he was the top scorer in the handball Bundesliga .

Career

Bjarki Már Elísson played for Icelandic club HK Kópavogur , with whom he won the championship in 2012. After actually joining FH Hafnarfjörður in 2013 , the 1.90-meter-tall left winger switched to German Bundesliga club ThSV Eisenach at short notice . In the 2014/15 season he was the top scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga. From the 2015/16 season he played for Füchse Berlin , with whom he signed a two-year contract. In 2015 and 2016 he was club world champion with the Füchsen and in 2018 he was EHF cup winner. He has been running for TBV Lemgo since summer 2019 .

Bjarki Már Elísson is a member of the Icelandic national team , for which he has scored 141 goals in 63 international matches . He made his national team debut in 2012 against the Netherlands .
