Life

Dörhöfer began his career with TG Rüsselsheim and then played for Bundesliga club MTSV Schwabing . From the rise in 1982 to the fall in 1988, Dörhöfer belonged to the squad of the blue-yellow Munich team and won the DHB Cup with them in 1986 . For Schwabing, he scored 660 goals in 138 Bundesliga games, 199 of which were seven meters. After MTSV was relegated to the Bundesliga, he went to VfL Gummersbach . With the Gummersbachers he won the German championship in 1991. In 1990 and 1993 he was the top scorer in the Bundesliga here. In 1993 he switched to league rivals TV Großwallstadt , where he played with Jackson Richardson , among others , and where he ended his Bundesliga career in 1998 after sixteen continuous seasons. He then went back to TG Rüsselsheim for a short time.

For Germany Dörhöfer played 92 international matches, in which he threw 152 goals (seven of which were seven meters ). He played a total of 424 Bundesliga games, in which he scored 1,972 goals, of which 583 were seven meters (with 757 attempts, rate 77%). He is MTSV Schwabing's record goal scorer and record seven meter scorer in the Bundesliga.

Parallel studied his handball career Dörhöfer in Munich (1982-1988 bachelor's degree) and at the University of Cologne (1988 to 1993) Business Administration . He graduated with a degree in business administration .

From 1993 to 2003 he was group leader at Deutsche Bank , before becoming head of the Risk Office Corporates and Financial Institutions at BayernLB . From May 1, 2008, he was sent to Hypo Group Alpe Adria by Bayern LB as Risk Director . From April 1, 2009 to May 2010, he was Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. He then returned to Deutsche Bank AG.

Dörhöfer was suspected of having been part of the so-called “hypo swamp”, in which infidelity and falsification of accounts were widespread. A trial against the former board members of Hypo Alpe Adria at the Klagenfurt Regional Court ended in April 2018 with an acquittal, in which the single judge declared that she did not pass these judgments in doubt, but with the full conviction that the accused did nothing wrong and nothing would have omitted.
