Handball Bundesliga 1994/95

The handball Bundesliga 1995/96 was the 18th of the single-track seasons and the total of the 30th season of the highest German division in men's handball in the history of the Bundesliga . The season began on September 6, 1995 and ended with the last game day on April 14, 1996.

16 teams played for the German championship. The first in the table on the last match day is German champions 1996. OSC 04 Rheinhausen and TSV GWD Minden were promoted to the new season . In addition, the DHB Cup was played for the 22nd time.

German champion in 1996 was the THW Kiel team for the sixth time in the club's history .

HSV Düsseldorf and VfL Bad Schwartau had to relegate from the handball Bundesliga to the 2nd Bundesliga .

In 240 games, a total of 11,158 goals (average 46.5 per game) were scored, an average of 1.1 more goals than in the 1994/95 season . There were 146 home wins, 27 draws and 67 away wins. The highest home win was recorded by THW Kiel on matchday 26 with 38:18 against VfL Bad Schwartau . The TBV Lemgo team achieved the highest away win on matchday 13 with 16:28 at VfL Bad Schwartau. The game with the highest number of goals took place on the 5th matchday between SG Wallau / Massenheim and TV Großwallstadt and ended 40:26. That was 19 goals more than the overall average.
