Thorsten Ehrig (born April 18, 1969 in Kiel ) is a former German handball goalkeeper .

Thorsten Ehrig started playing handball at MTV in Kiel as a child . As a teenager, he moved to THW Kiel in 1985 . He played in the handball Bundesliga from 1989 and became German champion with the THW in 1994 , 1995 and 1996 . He then moved to SV Mönkeberg . Ehrig played at TSV Alt Duvenstedt from 2012 and has been TSV's goalkeeping coach since the 2013/14 season . In the 2017/18 season he made a comeback for the injury-ridden HSG Mönkeberg-Schönkirchen and stood on the field together with his son Jan.

Thorsten Ehrig is married and has three children. His son Sven plays handball at TSV Altenholz and THW Kiel. In his private life he is a trained master machinist .
