HSG Mönkeberg-Schönkirchen
The Mönkeberg-Schönkirchen handball community is a handball community from the communities of Mönkeberg and Schönkirchen in the Plön district , whose first women's team will compete in the third division in the 2020/21 season .
history
The HSG was founded in 2009 by the parent clubs TSG Concordia Schönkirchen and SV Mönkeberg . Nationwide, the new syndicate was represented for the first time in the field of female A-youth, who played in the 2010/11 regional league of the northeast German handball association . After several other youth teams qualified for the highest divisions of the handball association Schleswig-Holstein or the handball upper league Hamburg - Schleswig-Holstein , the men rose to the fourth-class league for the first time as runners-up in the Schleswig-Holstein league in 2017, where they did, however could only last a year. Two years later, the women also rose to fourth class for the first time and immediately took second place in the quotient rating of the 2019/20 season that was canceled. Since the first-placed team of HL Buchholz 08-Rosengarten II waived their starting place in the 3rd division, the right of promotion was transferred to the HSG, which will therefore compete in the 3rd division for the first time in 2020/21.
