The Handball-Bundesliga 2013/14 (full name after the main sponsor DKB Handball-Bundesliga 2013/14 ) was the 36th of the single-track seasons and the total of 48th season of the highest German division in men's handball in the history of the Bundesliga . The season began on August 24, 2013 and ended with the last game day on May 24, 2014.
18 teams played in the " everyone against everyone " mode with one home and one away game for the German championship . The first in the table on the last match day is German champions 2014. The climbers for the new season were Bergische HC 06 , TV Emsdetten and ThSV Eisenach . In addition, the DHB Cup was played for the 40th time.
The German champions were for the 19th time in the club's history and only on the last match day was the THW Kiel team thanks to a better goal difference of +2 compared to the Rhein-Neckar Löwen who had previously been ahead .
ThSV Eisenach and TV Emsdetten had to relegate from the Bundesliga to the 2nd Bundesliga .
