Lars Lehnhoff (born September 20, 1986 in Celle ) is a German handball player . He plays in the left wing position and less often in the back center position. Lars Lehnhoff is 1.81 meters tall and weighs 76 kg. His club is TSV Hannover-Burgdorf .
Career
Lehnhoff grew up in Adelheidsdorf . At the age of four he started at SV Altencelle, in which both his mother, among other things, as a trainer, as well as his father, and later also his sister Inga Lehnhoff (also a handball player at HSG Blomberg-Lippe and SVG Celle ) and his Sister Britta Lehnhoff were active. In 1995 he then moved to the upper league club MTV Post Eintracht Celle, with which he also became the North German champion in the B-youth. During his youth season he was part of the Lower Saxony selection for several years. The highlight of his youth playing time is three youth national team games.
In 2004, Lars Lehnhoff moved to the regional league team TSV Burgdorf and gained more and more games. In 2005 he was promoted to the 2nd handball league . Here too, the game shares could be defended and expanded. After a 4th place (2005/06), a 6th (2006/07) and a 5th place (2007/08), he was promoted to the 1st handball league in 2009 .
Since 2008 he has been studying economics at the Leibniz University in Hanover . Lars Lehnhoff is the only player who has been promoted to both the second and the first handball league and is now actively playing in the first men's team at TSV Hannover-Burgdorf. During this time he played actively with the former coach Christopher Nordmeyer for five years . "Lars is a good example that a young player can make a positive development into a regular player if you let him," says former TSV managing director Ulrich Karos. In January 2013, his contract extension to June 2015 was announced.
On November 30, 2013 TSV Hannover-Burgdorf qualified for the group stage of the EHF Cup with a 41:27 win against the Kadetten Schaffhausen in the second leg in Hanover, with Lars Lehnhoff being the top scorer of his team with 9 goals. Another highlight of his career. Lehnhoff scored the most goals in a Bundesliga game so far on December 27, 2013 in the game against Frisch Auf Göppingen and secured his team a narrow 30:29 win in the last game of the year in front of 9,800 spectators with 14 goals (including 9/9 seven meters) in the sold out TUI Arena. Christopher Nordmeyer then praised his captain: "There is no player who prepares himself as meticulously as Lars Lehnhoff".
