Morten Olsen (born October 11, 1984 in Osted , Osted Sogn ) is a Danish handball player . His position is back center .

Career

Olsen played between 2003 and 2005 for the Danish first division club GOG Gudme , with whom he won the 2004 championship and 2005 cup. He then joined HF Mors , for whom his twin brother Kenneth was also active. In January 2006, the backcourt player moved to Viborg HK . In the summer of 2007 Olsen signed a contract with the Danish club Bjerringbro-Silkeborg . In the summer of 2010, he joined the German Bundesliga club TSV Hannover-Burgdorf . From the summer of 2013 he ran for the French first division club Saint-Raphaël Var Handball . In April 2015 he left Saint-Raphaël Var Handball prematurely. In May 2015 he was signed for a month by the Qatari club al-Rayyan SC . After the 2014/15 season he returned to Hanover. From the 2020/21 season, Olsen will be under contract with GOG Håndbold .

Olsen has made 93 appearances for the Danish national team so far , scoring 201 goals. He won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . He became world champion at the 2019 World Cup.
