Handball Bundesliga 1986/87

The handball Bundesliga 1987/88 was the eleventh of the single-track seasons and the 22nd season of the highest German division in men's handball in the history of the handball Bundesliga . The season began on September 10, 1987 and ended with the last game day on May 1, 1988.

14 teams played for the German championship. The first in the table on the last day of the match was German champions in 1988. New season promoters were TSV Bayer Dormagen , SG Wallau / Massenheim and TuSpo Nürnberg . In addition, the DHB Cup was played for the 14th time.

The German champion in 1988 was the VfL Gummersbach team for the eleventh time in the club's history .

TuSpo Nürnberg , MTSV Schwabing and OSC Dortmund had to relegate from the handball Bundesliga to the 2nd Bundesliga .
