Handball Bundesliga 2016/17

The handball Bundesliga 2017/18 (full name after the main sponsor DKB Handball-Bundesliga 2017/18 ) was the 40th of the single-track seasons and the 52nd season of the highest German division in men's handball in the history of the Bundesliga . The season began on August 24, 2017 and ended with the last game day on June 3, 2018. The championship was SG Flensburg-Handewitt.

Newcomers to the new season were TuS N-Lübbecke , TV Hüttenberg and Eulen Ludwigshafen . The first two were immediately relegated after the season. For the first time only two teams are relegated to the second division.

mode

This season, 18 teams are playing in the " everyone against everyone " mode with one home and one away game for the German championship. In the event of a tie, the better goal difference decides. The first in the table on the last match day is German champions 2018, the last two placed are relegated to the 2nd division .
