Jim Gottfridsson (born September 2, 1992 in Ystad ) is a Swedish handball player .
Career
Jim Gottfridsson started handball at the age of four. The 1.90 meter tall backcourt player played at IFK Ystad HK until 2011 , when he moved to the Elitserien at Ystads IF HF . Since the 2013/14 season he runs in the German handball league for the SG Flensburg-Handewitt , with which he 2014 the EHF Champions League won. After the 2013/14 season, he prematurely extended his contract in Flensburg, which originally ran until 2015, by two years until 2017. In 2015 , he won the DHB Cup with SG and the German championship in 2018 and 2019.
At the U-19 World Cup in Argentina in 2011 , where he finished third with the Swedish national junior team, he was the most successful goalscorer with 58 goals.
For the Swedish national team , Jim Gottfridsson has played 88 international matches so far , in which he scored 302 goals. He took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . At the 2018 European Championships in Croatia , he won the silver medal with the Swedish team and was voted the best player (MVP) of the tournament.
